Book Swap

Book Swap - supported by Hampshire Waste Prevention Service

ln conjunction with Hampshire Waste Prevention Service, we have installed a beautiful 'Reading Shed'. This shed contains a range of children's pre-loved books, donated by our families, for children to read and swap. 

 

The organisation and running of the 'Book Swap' scheme is led by Mrs. Willcocks, with lots of help from our Harmony Heroes.

 

How it works:

  • The shed is open daily (weather-permitting) after school.
  • Children are welcome to take a book from the shed to enjoy at home.   
  • There is no time limit on how long you can keep the book –if you really like it, you can keep it forever!
  • Please write your name on the clipboard inside the shed door.   This is so that Mrs. Willcocks can see how many books are being borrowed, and we can be proud of how much waste we are preventing by reusing our books.  

 

We are always grateful for donations of preloved children’s books.   Please leave donations at the school office.   Thank you.

 

We look forward to seeing our children develop their love of reading and sharing their favourite books with each other.
