Welcome to the Year 1 Classroom Website! We are delighted to present this online space, where you can easily access vital information about our Year 1 curriculum, significant events, and our joyful celebrations of learning.

The Year 1 team consists of three wonderful classes: Skylarks, Swifts, and Robins, each contributing uniquely to a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can flourish. Guided by our inspiring Harmony curriculum, we instill curiosity and a love for learning in every child. This commitment aligns perfectly with our school’s mission of ‘Living and Learning in Harmony,’ ensuring that all pupils feel valued, appreciated, and empowered throughout their educational journey.

On this page, you will find resources related to our curriculum, including special Masterpiece projects and exciting upcoming events that we hope will enhance community spirit and encourage parent involvement. We strongly believe that collaboration between home and school is essential for achieving student success. Therefore, we wholeheartedly invite you to stay connected and actively engage with your child's learning experience. To further aid your child’s development at home, we’ve provided links to additional resources for you to explore together, fostering an enriching learning environment both in and out of the classroom.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to approach your child’s class teacher during pick-up or drop-off times. We encourage open communication and are here to support you. Year 1 Staff Members
In the Skylarks team, we proudly introduce Ms. Deans, Ms. Beckford, and Ms. Maynard.

The Robins team is made up of Ms. Shipsey, Ms. Ranola, and Ms. Harley.

Finally, the Swifts team, which includes Ms. Paintin (Monday - Wednesday) alongside Ms. Toop (Thursday - Friday), Ms. Flaherty, Ms. Maynard, and Ms. Willis.
